Day-By-Day

April 7, 1998

Wouldn't you know it? I'm sick yet again. I saw the doc today and he said I'm probably getting sick a lot from working with kids. He said most new teachers, new parents, or child volunteers get sick a lot after they begin working with young children. I'm just in double jeopardy since I haven't been exposed to very many people for months. Hopefully, this will be the last of the infections I get for quite a while. The only thing is that I will miss work tomorrow. Ouch....it hurts the pocketbook.

This past weekend was yuchy. I think it had to do with being sick, but that was because I couldn't do anything--being sick and all. I rented a few movies and stayed in bed.

Oh, having wheels is so awesome!! I can travel around town whereever I want without anyone looking over my shoulder. Today I talked to the high school and I have a place to park there whenever I sub. At least that one is easy to get to and from . . .

Gosh, I don't feel as though I have much to say today. That is unusual, considering how gabby I am. Oh yeah. I have received my Federal refund and now I am moving forward. Tomorrow, I will be dropping off the paper work at the lawyer's office so I can file for bankruptcy. It is a bit scary, but I'm looking forward to getting it over with, and soon. I'll at least feel as though I will be making a fresh start. The next step will be getting a full-time job and saving up so I can move out of this house into my own place. I'm tired of feeling like a child again. Oh well.....I just have to remind myself to take things day-by-day.
