May 7, 1998 Ughhh! Just a few short hours ago I found out my schedule for tomorrow was a bit screwed up! I thought I had an appointment with Victoria at 10 a.m. and therefore needed a half day sub job. Well, actually, I know I made that appointment. No one called to confirm, so I called them. They said I do not have an appointment. In other words, some one screwed up. At first I automatically believed it to be me, but the more I thought about it the more I was sure I was right. Now I have an appointment for May 28. I would do it sooner, but I need to call for Community Transportation (a crappy system if there ever was one) exactly 2 weeks in advance at 8 a.m. (too much later and no ride). That means I call next Thursday for my ride. I will get a Middle School job that day since the hours are 8:45 to 4:15. That way I don't have to worry about leaving class....unless I got to Mayport Elementary where most teachers have phones in their classroom. Perhaps I should add paragraphs. =) Anyhow, it is a bunch of yuch! I was sooooo ready to see Victoria. While I don't feel I have a lot to talk about, I had prepared a few things. Mainly being lonely lately (not depressed for those family members who might read this and be confused) and I really want to delve into a lot of my intimacy issues. I talked to this lady, Valerie, at Social Security this week and my worst fears have been confirmed. Social Security is run by a bunch of half-wits. Okay, not all, but enough to foul up my reapplication. Granted I'm working now, but this was to cover the year and 5 months I did not work due to my multiple injuries (which in the first application they said I would be working in a year....what a load of crap that was). Valerie was nice and out to help me, but I just don't understand. When I called for a new application in September (yes, I reapplied 7 months ago!), I talked to a person who said he had my last application and I didn't need to include it the second time. Well, Valerie said that my application was sent to Atlanta for special consideration, but no one can find the first one!! Ughh..... Hopefully tomorrow will be better.....=)
