Okay, I don't do *all* that stuff on the list, but I have had them on the brain lately. BTW, if you don't know what I'm talking about, don't just stand there! Go find out!!!!


You know you're addicted to The Arrogant Worms when:

  • You own every single album they've ever put out.
  • And they never leave your CD player.
  • You would travel to Alaska if you found out they were performing there.
  • You hum "Malcolm" ominously whenever someone or something annoys you.
  • When your family gets sick over the holidays, instead of sympathizing or helping, you just can't stop singing "Vincent the Christmas Virus".
  • During the holidays, "Santa's Gonna Kick Your Ass" and "Dad Threw Up on Christmas Day" get more spin time on your sound system than "Silent Night" or "Jingle Bells".
  • You head-bang to "Sponges" without shame or irony.
  • At work.
  • You start a petition to get them to come perform in your town.
  • You get in fights with fellow fans about whether Chris or Trevor is the cute one (though you both concede that Mike is pretty cool too).
  • You find yourself singing along to every song (in order) on any given Worm CD.
  • And of course, you know all the lyrics.
  • And the CD player isn't even on.
  • If "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate" is playing, you will stop in the middle of a conversation at the line "...and screw the GST" to yell "SCREW IT!".
  • You start up your own movement for Vegetable Rights. "Carrot Juice is Murder!!!"
  • Every once in a while you shout "WINNEBAGOHHHH!!!!" and understand what the hell you're talking about.
  • And somehow, it's funny every time.
  • It's all about the fan art, baby.
  • That autographed poster from the Worms? It's on your bedroom ceiling. Right above your bed.
  • Your English paper on the theory of comedy is based entirely on their work.
  • You get into philosophical discussions with fellow fans about which Worms album is their greatest.
  • You not only understand most of the references in this list, you empathize.

    And the number sign that you are addicted to the Arrogant Worms is...

  • That new song about the creepy stalker girl? It's about you.
