To Antiabortionists

Do you know me.
Have we met.

Surely you must know me
because here you are today.

Today you seek to help me make a decision
reserved for myself- and a personal few.

Today you tell me I am wrong and
you seek to decide my fate.

Surely you must know me.

Were you there as I struggled to raise my children
Perhaps I missed you along the way.

Do you know the doors closed in my face
I have forced open.

Although your face is not known to me
Surely you must know me.

YOU SAY WE'VE NEVER MET!

How then do you dare with a smug indignant face
intrude on my personal choice.

How dare you lay your body
in my path.

I will walk over you.
I will crawl under you.

My choice will be mine, because now-
it's quite clear- YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL!
