Sister-Friend's Great-Aunt Lillian is her role-model for living vitally, with both exuberance and dignity.
When Sister-Friend was a little girl, "Aunt Lillian" would help me make these soft cookies. Not too
sweet, they are wonderful at a tea party, or anytime.
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2
eggs
- 1 cup shortening
- 1/3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups + 2
Tbsp flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
Mix ingredients til just blended. DO NOT ROLL OUT DOUGH. Drop from
spoon. Bake 375 ° 10-12 minutes.

Sister-Friend feels that recipes are gifts ... familiar recipes, in fact, are like
friends, themselves. If you have a favorite recipe that you would like to share, please send it to
CalypsoZ@swbell.net.
Thank you!
Proud to be a member of the
neighborhood.
