Remember, Love the first time
I gazed into your eyes?
I was swept away with wonder
Delightfully filled with surprise.
You were fresh from school, then
I thought myself too old.
We both were quite shy then
I thought myself too bold.
I felt a gentle stirring come
From somewhere deep inside.
I knew I could not lose you...
For our souls were intertwined.
Then when I became tongue-tied
We were floating in the air.
You said those words that held your love.
I almost fainted there.
"Not only do I like you,
I' m in love with you." you sighed...
I can't remember what I said.
From shock I almost died!
Well, that was many years ago.
My soulmate that is true.
Nonetheless it seems like yesterday
I fell in love with you.
