The Uncrossable Line

"Do you see that shooting star, my love?"
You say as I lay in your arms.
"These stars have to be just for you and for me..."
Then the bells toll the warning alarms.
What has just happened to you and to me?
We were friends all along from the start.
Your lips told me "No..."
and I whispered "Don't go..."
Now I fear that I'm losing my heart.
I look in your eyes, very deep, very blue...
And your lips brush so softly on mine...
Will you be the one when the battle is done?
Did we cross the uncrossable line?
I have watched from afar as you battle your war
With what's buried so dark in your past.
I gingerly peek from a place hidden deep
And I wish on a star shooting past.
Oh to hold you again and I wonder just when
We will realize the love that we share.
For I love you so much and I crave passion's touch..
But to say it aloud...I don't dare.
Where will it go...this love that we know
Will we lose it if ever we dare?
To say what's in my heart.
We're in love, never part
And cross over the line that is there.
