Desert Tears
Night fall
alone in the desert
rain pouring down
steady
constant
lightning streaks across the blackened sky
finding shelter for my horse
an outcropping of stone
almost a cave
gathering kindling
taking flint
striking a fire
trying to stay dry
peeling off wet clothes
saddle off
horse brushed
fed
blanket covering my nakedness
shivering
trying to sleep
tears falling
matching the steady
drip
drip
drip
of the rivelet of water thru the rocks
alone with thoughts of you
missing you
pain in my heart
heart in my throat
longing for your touch
your voice
the brush of your lips on mine
my face between your breasts
smelling the sweet musk of your body
feeling the soft curls between your thighs
lost
and alone
with only memories
of you
