Gabrielle's Soliloquy

Gabrielle with chakram and Xena's ashes

Chakram and ashes in hand
Once more I walk the beach
The sequestered waterfront
We walked countless times before
Golden sunset amongst clouds.

Looking out to sea once more
Your ghost beside me
Tears again flow from my eyes
Knowing you are in my heart
Yet needing you in my arms.

If this vessel held us two
With ashes and clay
We could be mixed together
The Sacred Goddess could make
Half of the new you me
Half of the new me you.
