Ring Around the Rosie

April 9, 1998

As many times as I've been around to the various sites in the webring I manage, I should be too dizzy to stand, let alone type straight! I run a webring for the alt.cuddle newsgroup, and I also allow people not from the newsgroup to join. I'd been wanting to segregate them and put them in some kind of order, but it was a big job. I tackled it today, and it's taken me several hours, to say the least! But now the hard part is done, and I can update the index pages and all that fun stuff.

Tuesday was horrid, as I wound up stressing out and making myself half-sick. The doctor had x-rays and blood taken on my way downstairs and out of the building, so if anything turned up, I don't know it yet. I could feel my body going into panic-mode the moment we walked in the door, and my blood pressure was sky high (149/100 compared to 120/72) when the nurse was taking my vitals. *sigh* It's no wonder they used to think I have high blood pressure. I've never seen it go up *that* high before, and the nurse even took it twice, since I told her I was stressed. It only went up.

By time I got home, I was half sick with hunger and the after-effects of the stress. I hadn't slept much the night before, and that only added to it. I took a bath, ate a couple animal cookies just to have something in my stomach, and slept for about two hours. When I got up, I hopped online, and Jevim showed up a little later. Talking to him, I finally relaxed enough to feel like eating, and had some soup. I still felt out of it most of the day, though, and didn't really do much.

Yesterday, I just kinda relaxed, played with Borland C++ Builder, and even re-created the silly little calculator program I had made in VB for my Visual Basic class last winter. I really didn't accomplish much, but it was a nice day. I did put on my shoes and go out yesterday afternoon, just long enough to see that the strawberries look about the same, and the tulips buds are about an inch and a half long now.

Today it was rainy and gloomy all day, and I didn't go back out. We'll probably have tulips late next week, I'm guessing... Mom brought all the daffodils inside (cut), and the iris look like they have a way to go yet. Yes, this is the weekly gardening report. *chuckle* I think my brain is just toasted from all the webring stuff. I've sent and received probably on the order of 100 e-mails today, total, and I'm just sorta spaced out.

I'm also waiting with bated breath to see how and when Delenn discovers that John is still alive on Babylon 5. Yes, I watch it, and I've never seen the first four seasons up til they started showing them a few months ago, so I wanna know, but I don't want to have it spoiled, so I'll wait til tomorrow... or Monday, if necessary! I'm really regretting not taping all the episodes when they started airing them, but it looks like they'll start over again in just a few weeks, when they reach the end of season 4.

Never did finish this entry... sorry....
