The Florida AAUW Convention 2000 will be held April 7-9, 2000 at the Sheraton Orlando North in Maitland. This is where we held the very successful 1999 convention. The room rates are the same as last year - $98.00 plus taxes for a single or a double. If you'd like something more exclusive, ask about the club level rooms which range from $120 to $139 for single or double occupancy. Suites are available for $225. The reservation deadline to receive these rates is March 8th. Call 1-800-628-6660 to make your reservation! Be sure to identify yourself as attending the AAUW Convention to get these special rates.

The facilities at the hotel meet our needs very well. There are plenty of separate meeting rooms for our workshops and our group meals without disturbing the seating arrangement for our general sessions.

The comfortable rooms have voice mail, coffee makers, ironing boards, and hair dryers. There are two restaurants: The Heritage Grill located in the spectacular six-story atrium and the Pizza Express which offers pizza and deli items if you need a quick snack. There's also a cocktail lounge in the atrium area.

Additional amenities include a swimming pool, poolside bar, tennis court, gift shop, ATM machine, and valet parking.

Vendors will have intriguing items for you to purchase beginning Friday afternoon and most of Saturday.

Dress for the convention is resort casual except for the Saturday night banquet. which is a bit more dressy.

Directions:

1. Exit I-4 from the East (North) at exit 47
   
2. Exit I-4 from the West (South) at exit 47 B
   
3. Coming from either direction stay to the right or go west to the first light. Turn right. The hotel will be on your right at 600 N. Lake Destiny Drive.

Be sure to mail the convention reservation form to the address on the form. Make a copy for your records. Also remember to call the hotel for your room reservation and make a note of your confirmation number!
