To Incite Our Public Policy Rally


Anne Gannon, Florida AAUW's lobbyist, will join us at Friday evening's Convention 2000 public policy rally.

Anne owns her own political consulting organization specializing in governmental relations. She has represented public interest and non-profit clients before the Florida legislature since 1989.

She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and worked in Mississippi for several years. While there she was the state co-chair of Mississippi Young Democrats 1977-1979, state president National Organization for Women 1977-1981, and selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America in 1980.

After relocating to Florida, Anne attended Palm Beach Community College, Barry University, and Florida Atlantic University. She has served on many community boards and received many awards. An active member of Healthy Mother, Healthy Babies since 1993, she received that organization's leadership award in 1997.

She has served as a member of the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee from 1990 to the present. A resident of Delray Beach, she has been a member of the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce since 1992 and of the Palm Beach County's Chamber of Commerce since 1998.

In 1996 Anne received the Florida Women's Political Caucus Rep. Elaine Gordon Award for Advocacy for Women and Children's Rights.
