Girl Scouting is dedicated to developing girls fullest potential bygiving them the opportunity to make decisions, to explore their world, and to learn and work in partnership with adult volunteers. Based on ethical values expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law, Girl Scouting inspires girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service. Founded in 1912, Girl Scouting joins together, in friendship, girls from all segments of American life and from all parts of the world. 
Our Service Unit serves girls in the Simpson County area. Currently we have 9 troops registered serving 84 girls. Franklin  residents wishing to be put in contact with the troop best for you, please contact our troop organizer and troop consultant Margaret Meador at GFORGIRLSCOUTS@HOTMAIL.COM
Our objectives for this web site are to: 
  • Promote Girl Scouting in Kentuckiana Girl Scout Council
  • Provide information on our Service Unit and it's activities. 
  • Inform Girls, Leaders, and Parents of upcoming events and activities. 
  • Provide an Internet Home for Our Troops, with links to our troops' home pages. 
  • Furnish links to other Girl Scout and Girl Guide sites, and to other sites of interest to girls.
