Magic wands and fairies were all once part of our dreams, hopes and fairy tales. From the time we are born we all deserve to grow up safely and achieve our dreams. All the magic becomes part of our fairy tales as a child and can continue to be a symbol of our hopes and dreams. Our dreams and imagination allow us to carry the thought of magic wands and fairy godmothers throughout our lives. When something goes wrong in our lives we all wish we could tap the magic wand and everything would be better.
Abuse, incest and rape are extreme situations which would call for a very powerful magic wand to make the dreaded feelings disappear. A child's innocence could be lost forever, and an adult immediately feels like a helpless child.
There are many cases of sexual abuse and rape among family, people we felt were friends, and even complete strangers. The constant fear, the rage, the depression, and the feeling to give up on everything are very common responses to all of these, whether it is in minutes of the abuse or several years later.
I just wish I was a fairy godmother who could tap my magic wand and make all the pain disappear for myself and everyone else suffering from one of the most terrible experiences a person could live through.
My idea for this site has originated from other support groups on the web. I know how difficult it is to reach out for support and to survive alone. I have belonged to one site for about 7 months now and recently found another very helpful web page.
I wish to provide a place of support where we can all help each other, where we can all feel completely comfortable and very safe. I also hope to continue my own healing journey on the way.
