Reference and Public Services
Provide reference services to a broad patron clientele, serve as library learning coordinator, maintain education files, develop displays, and select and weed the biological and social sciences collections at the Cuyahoga County Public Library, Fairview Park Regional.
Provided business reference and research services to professional staff at the Ernst & Young Center for Business Knowledge. Searched online databases, CD-ROMs, in-house databases, and print sources; prepared company profiles and other reports; assisted staff with database use.
Provided reference services and library education to patrons; did online database searches using MEDLINE, CINAHL, and various databases as well as the Internet; and searched OCLC at the Oliver Ocasek Regional Medical Information Center at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
Computer Skills
Use laptop and Power Point for library training programs.
Search various business, educational, medical, and general computer databases on, for
example, OVID, DIALOG, and DATASTAR, as well as Internet sites and CD-ROMs.
Developed a health and wellness homepage using knowledge of the Internet and HTML skills.
Knowledge of the OhioLINK, KentLINK, and NEOLINK catalogs, and OCLC.
Experienced with computer applications on the Macintosh and PC.
Training
Serve as Library Learning Instruction Team Leader at the Cuyahoga County Public Library, where I coordinate online catalog, Internet, and database classes; oversee a team of instructors; schedule classes; develop promotional materials; write class curriculums; organize, maintain, and set up equipment for teaching; develop training techniques; and teach a variety of classes.
Independently designed, wrote, and presented a training program for technical editors, which included a notebook, seminar, and evaluation.
