Indoor Photos

May 2000

A view from what will eventually be our bedroom. The large hole in the wall will be a window between our bedroom and Leslie's bedroom to let in sunlight, since our bedroom is the only room in the house with no outside window. The framed door on the far left will be the bathroom door, and the newly created door hole just to the right of that will be our bedroom door.

A view from the right side of the living room, looking into the hallway, on the left, and the laundry closet, on the right. In the center is a thick, solid beam which provides support for the whole observatory building and therefore cannot be altered. I'm looking at the construction plans posted on the hallway wall.

A hole was dug into the floor of what used to be part of a bedroom to install a toilet and a bathtub for the new bathroom.

Leslie Anne is standing in a long opening between her bedroom and the living room. This opening will eventually be divided into a shallow closet in her bedroom, for books, and a deep closet off the living room for the computer. The old heater you see on the right will be removed and replaced by a modern heater.
