VISION
A Vision
Imagine this:
A baby girl is born. Her talents, love and passion
for life are already within her;like a seed
aiting to grow into a flower. As she looks
around the world shes been born into, she discovers
with horror that shes been placed in a war zone.
Her strongest asset is her will to live.
Even though shes just a baby she develops her
will into a power which she uses to survive.
And she does survive. She spends her childhood
doing that which will keep her alive.
She lives so long in a war zone that she forgets
she is in a war; it feels this is what life is
and will always be.
Finally she grows older and escapes the war.
She learns to cope in the outside world, but
always through the eyes of a shell shocked
survivor, haunted by the ghastly terrors she
lived through. Still the flower waits. Slowly
the woman-child begins to feel her wounds and
realizes something is terribly wrong. She sees
that alot of children are born into peace and
allowed,even encouraged to grow.
She realizes she is still feeling shell shocked
from the war.
Thus she begins the journey to find herself.
It is a very long trip, almost unbearable at
times. Along the way there are glimmers of hope,
people who love her-people who actually want to
support the talents and passions within her,
people who want nothing in return.
After a long time the journey gets easier and
she sees that the reward of the journey is
herself-all her parts coming together in a
beautiful rebirth of the person she was born
to be, intended to be, had she been born into
peace and love. She chooses the talents she
wants to grow and becomes herself.
Finally one day she is outside under the warm
sun, the wind blowing through her hair, standing
on a rock, and she announces to the clear sky,
"Yes, this is me. I was born to be who I am now.
I am alive.I am free and the journey has been
worth it. Can the vision come true????
