Hi! Welcome to my pages! I have alot here. I hope you enjoy your stay and come back and visit to see all my pages. My name is Kristy. I am 30 something and live in New York State. I am happily married to a wonderful man, Kenny. We have three great children. Matthew is 7. Sarah is 5 and Stephen is 3. We also have quite a menagerie here. We have two cats. Chester is a traditional seal-point Siamese and my baby. Shadow is just over a year old, and he's very sweet but quite a trouble-making kitty. He's all black with bright yellow eyes. Sadie is our beloved German Shephard. She's a wonderful family dog. Great with the kids! I highly recommend this breed for families. We also have a tropical fish aquarium and an amusing, but kind of nasty cockatiel named Koko. He swears under his breath and makes siren noises, etc. All comes from us having our scanner on alot. LOL. I have been working as an RN in an emergency department. I also have worked in cardiac and critical care. I had to stop working in April of 1998. I have been diagnosed with CFIDS and Fibromyalgia. These are severe and debilitating illnesses not many people know about. I have blue ribbons on all my pages. If you click on them, you will go to a great, informative site about these diseases. I also have banners on my pages for an organization called CFIDSERS. This organization is set up to aid the patients with CFIDS and to help the families.
I have alot of loves and interests. Of course, the first being my family! I love collecting buddhas. Pictures, statues, etc. I am a Buddhist and I am trying to work on my faith constantly. I read all I can on it. Of course, in Buddhism, learning must be balanced with meditation and practicing. I love to do some crafts as my illness permits. I like to cross stitch, crochet and scrapbook, mainly. I lovve to read. I like non-fiction. I usually read books on Buddhism, but I also enjoy books in the areas of history, sociology and psychology and related fields, along with spirituality reading. I like to learn what makes people tick. I love horror also. Big Stephen King fan here. I like movies. Especially sci-fi, crime dramas, horror (of course) and good comedies. My favorite actor is Keanu Reeves. I really don't have a favorite actress or favorite music group. I also love music! It helps me so much cope with my illnesses. I love all types of music, but I really like plain ole rock ~n~ roll and alternative music. I like to write poetry when I am not in writer's block, like I am right now. LOL. I also love my friends and making friends. I have met so many wonderful and close friends on the internet. I also like to garden. Actually, I had to learn it and to like it as a few years ago, when we moved into our house, I inherited a huge perennial garden. I have read alot of books on perennials and had to learn fast. I love my garden. Something is always blooming. My hubby has to do alot of it now as I am so limited in what I can do with the Fibromyalgian and CFS. Gardening is too strenuous for me, even on a good day.
I have tried to incorporate all my loves here in one way or another. I do plan to start a separate on Buddhism soon. This site is for everyone, no matter what your religious belief is. I tried to make it non-denominational and also inter-faith. I have pages for my husband and children with their photos and poems to them. I also have three photo pages of my family and friends. I have one page that simply tells about CFIDS and Fibromyalgia. I hope you choose to look at it. I have two links pages with over 200 links. They are my friends' homepages, sites I like, medical links for everyone, funny sites,
craft, cooking, etc. links, lots of links for kids and lots of links to card sites. I love sending cards to my friends and family! I have a third link page that follows my homepage that has clickable icons and banners to important sites (okay, one is for fun only..I am a Web~a~Holic!) that deal with children's rights, child maltreatment and abuse, missing children, anti-hate, etc. I will, hopefully, be adding more webrings soon that you can surf to go to great, child friendly sites that deal with important issues, also. I alo hope to be adding links on this page to sites that deal with all types of abuse, anti-drug pages and cult awareness sites as these issues are VERY important to me. My other pages are poem and inspirational pages that you can send as cybergreetings. That's why I make them.
