Hi, my name is Delroy "Vincent". I am currently living in Canada and I have been living there for most of my life.
My understanding of the christian way of life started from when I was very young, when I would attend church because my parent saw to it that the family went to church approximately on a weekly basis. I would attend church on Sundays until I was the age of 15 years old.
Since the age of 15 to 30, this was a time period when I was doing my own thing. I spent it learning life from a different perspective, doing things that young adults would do.
When I reached the age of 30 years old, my life began to change. Through these changes, I came to the Lord. It was the month of February in the year 1993.
In short, I was visiting a church and on a particular day, the Lord performed a miracle in my life. My life was not the same when I left that church. Something had happened in that church, it can be simply called a MIRACLE because of all that happened. Although there were not much physical, outer change but there was definitely something different going on inside. There is one person that could tell you every thing that happened on that day and that would be God.
I left that church having a new experience, and commitment to follow the christian way of life. After this event, my life went through a period of tremendous spiritual growth. During the time of this growth, the Lord blessed me with different experiences.
- Baptism
- Speaking in "tongue."
- Receiving divine revelations in the form the spoke word, visions and dreams.
It was exciting, to come to know that the Lord was really there. I had believed that there was a God but after that day I had come to a deeper understanding of his reality. My faith was strengthened and I kept on growing.
Shortly after, about the second year in my new life, I was called to be a Deacon. As a young deacon, I learned and grew in the Christian faith. Learning faithfulness and began to experience different parts of this new lifestyle. I regularly attended church, because of my responsibility as a Deacon.
I developed a love and a gift for teaching. It was evident to those around me, that I had a desire, the drive to teach and to evangelize. After finding out that evangelism was apart of the Christian faith, I had to make a change in my life and I began to learn about it.
I experienced the practical and theoretical side of evangelism. I began to be blessed in hearing the Lord's voice in a greater way during many time spent out evangelizing. Hearing the Lord's voice would bring a greater understanding of this christian life. My life began to change on a whole new level, a level of a deeper understanding, experience and revelations.
During this time of growth the Lord lead me to go out and evangelize for about a two-year period. This brought even more tremendous growth and commitment to Christianity. Other gifts began to manifest and again my faith was further strengthened.
To where I am today, after working in several different positions in the local churches in the area where I live, counseling others in the area of marital relationship, depression, online and offline. My growth is still increasing.
During the years of 2003 - 2005, I went through another years of growth that involved a deeper nature of relationships. I have been living by faith and making sacrifices according to the will of God, I am now looking to see the outcome of God's will for my life.
