Trivial

Well. I got the "Who will be my Valentine this year?" question sorted out last night. I presented Aziza with a white carnation with purple edges, and a "Be my Valentine?" lollipop last night, and she accepted. I think this means our 4'th, possibly 5'th year as Valentines. How's that for tradition? ;)

I also missed the early bus home yesterday, despite an effort, so I didn't get home until 7 as usual. (Only to find Gene not studying, but instead making a tape in my room. It eventually turned into a "oh and I have to play you this" marathon. I can now say that I think Lauryn Hill sings and makes music yummily. I have always liked her a lot, but never heard more than snippets and some Fugee's songs, and it's never been my glass of Dr Pepper, so I could always only give vague reasons why I like her. Now I'm a bit enthralled with her. And she's cute ;)

Following the missing bus trend, I missed my 7.39 am bus this morning, which lead me to miss my 8.00 am bus to Durham, which lead me to miss my first class at 9. I even ran around asking random people in cars if they might be able to take me to Franklin Street. No success. I waited for the 8.14 bus, but it was so slow, I missed my 8.25 am bus to Durham, which meant I had to wait until 9.30, which meant I missed my 10 o'clock class also. Yey. My perfect attendance ruined. Blah :( I was so proud over not having skipped attending a single class, and then this. I dunno. I know it's minor, but it was a big deal for me - this is my "finally-making-an-effort-as-a-student" semester.

I will see movies this weekend, dammit, wether I have company or not. There are too many movies I have been drooling over for too long. Must see them. I'm thinking of trying to go to two matinee showings, one of "Elizabeth", the other of "Life is Beautiful"... and then I want to see "Hillary and Jackie", but it hasn't reached Chapel Hill just yet, afaik. Also, for cheese content, I want to see "She's All That" - some ugly duckling movie with young actor posse, but it just looks so *cute*, and I want that. Hmm. What the hell, I'll make a list of what I want to see, and use as a check-off list.
