sometimes you just have to laugh.

friday, october 15

i was hurrying to make an early bus yesterday to go meet up with angela and garrett when it happened.

all that was in the can of soda fell into my lap and sticky liquid soaked through the crotch and upper part of my pants, and i nearly fell down laughing.

clearly there was no time to think. i ran into the bathroom with soda running down my leg and into my sandals thinking maybe it wasn't so bad, maybe i would be able to wash it out in the 6 minutes i had before the bus was due.

clearly i was trying far too hard to look at it optimistically.

it looked like i forgot i wasn't wearing a diaper and had just let it go. i cussed the day i let myself get enchanted with dark gray clothes; my trusty old black pants would never have left me looking like i wet myself like this.

5 minutes. what do i do, what do i do, do i leave them be and put them back on and pretend like nothing while hoping it dries, do i quickly soak them in water so at least they are evenly soaked, do i skip the bus, what, what, what?

answer: neither.

super jennie was wearing her super thin, flimsy rainbow coloured tie-dye scarf with turqoise fringe that she got from super jessica for christmas. super jennie decided to play it cool.

i tied the flimsy scarf around my waist and found that even though it did reach halfway down my calves there was a 2 inch gap down the side where it had been tied together, and let's just say i may not be shy always, but i'm not into flashing people. a girl could get arrested, if nothing else.

i solved the problem by tying some of the fringe together, and voila. flimsy illfitting rainbow skirt was born.

it's never been so amusing to stand by the road and wait for the bus before, but what could i do? i just kept my face and pretended i didn't have a clue i looked funny, and did my best keeping the fringe tied and closed.

needless to say, i made it to the mall, and to angela and garrett, and despite angela's generous offer to buy me something on sale to wear, i thought i handled it with my usual circus grace, and that was that.

needless to say, i brought an extra pair of pants to school today.

transmission OUT!
