One day at a time- this is enough, Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering. - Ida Scott Taylor -

MY PARENTS

 Mom & Dad
Mom and Dad on their wedding day August 13, 1956, they ran away to marry. Dad wasn't old enough to marry in NY so off the MD they went with my Mom's brother and the one he was marrying, is why Mom thought they were going, to stand up as witnesses. LOL got more than she bargained
for.

My parents and I have not always seen eye to eye on alot in life, but I adore these two very much now. Was alot of tears along the way for us, there was a 5 year period in our lives that we didn't speak a word to each other, today we share a very loving relationship. They now live in South Carolina, where Dad has retired from 24 years with Cigna. I miss them both very much but know that they walk this path beside me all the way now, they accept the person I am now, wasn't always the case, but am proud that they do now, wasn't easy for them. Am as stubborn as my Mom. And Dad is my favorite man in the world.
I am the Mother of one son, Joe, who is 15 now. Wonderful man/child, is the light in my eyes. I am also "Mom" to two dogs, Buster, a collie/shepard mix and Pooh Bear, a chow.

I grew up a very sheltered child, promised myself that my children would not grow up like that. My son knows the world is not always fair, that he must accept the things he cannot change and change those that he can. I walk with honor next to this child of mine. Have tried to show him that the only way to tackle anything is with honesty. To lie is to betray yourself.

I was born in NY, we lived there til I was 7 and Dad was transfered to NJ, this is a pic of my sister, Nancy (in blue), my baby brother Timmy (on tractor) and myself (in pink)
