16 CHAMBERS Reveiwed by JJ
The majority of Chris Stroh’s latest epic was filmed in Australia and as you would expect there's footage from the Box, Shark Island and Port Macquarrie. But this is no standard issue flick. Apart from the sick stunts there’s a variety of waves, from wedgy beachies to ten foot plus North Point. The opening section will blow you away with the first wave being one of the heaviest I have ever seen. Most of the sections are a mix of various Aussies charging various Aussie reefs but there are two North Point sections where Skip, Hubb, Andre, Stewart and Macca get barrelled off their nuts. The outstanding Shark Island footage shows why it’s the most intense and heavy wave in the world. But the main standout of the video has to be Ryan Hardy, with his cross leg back flips, air forwards, inverts, air reverses, showing why he has been voted the number one bodyboarder in Australia and the world. VERDICT:This is something you really should see. |

LOADED Reviewed by JJ
The latest video release by Tim Bonython documents the past three seasons of Hawaiian action spliced with footage of ample breasted women loitering up and down the North Shore. There are some epic barrels and some great ass! The footage is segmented into bite sized chunks which have a national flavour. The Brazilians bust it out first, proving that they are not afraid when it comes to hitting the lip with some hefty spanking of thick Pacific slabs (note: this is probably not the only 'hefty spanking' that will take place throughout the viewing of this udder and butt filled production !). The Aussies step into the limelight next with Kingy, Thornton, Hardy etc all doing their young Aussie new school thing. The Hawaiians follow with McGee, Skip, Hubb, Stewy and Co. taking apart their home turf. The soundtrack is mostly pretty heavy with sounds from Fear Factory, Sepultura etc. To be truthful I think that music like this would be more suited to footage of leather underpant clad rockers rather than bodyboarders pulling air spins. Anyway next up is the Death or Glory wipe out section which among other things shows Danny Wall eating it at Wiamea Shorey, some guy being dragged out of the water by the lifeguards who has gone blue and is spewing up water and Irish lassie Tania Ward getting run over by a longboarder at small Pipe and being helped in by Vicki Gleeson. The South African section is introduced by Alistair Taylor who explains that his fellow countrymen are willing to risk their life for any chance of photographic glory. Neal Stephenson (pre-shark attack), Andre Botha and the rest of the Saffa lunatics do themselves proud. With further Hawaiian and Aussie sections of more recent North Shore seasons the vid comes to a close just over the 60 minute mark. During this second Aussie section check the invert that Wall does on a left hander at Off the Wall.
