| We have been through so much, I think that you are starting to get the memories mixed up! The friendship we share now started from an afternoon in French 9 and I know that had it not been for my glasses, we might not be the friends that we are today.. I hope that you know that I will forever be grateful for everything that you have ever done for me. It may not seem like it at times, but I really do think that you are an amazing and precious friend of mine, and I hope that no matter where life takes either one of us, we still continue to keep in touch. If I were to lose out on having you as my friend, it will be one of the biggest mistakes that I will ever make in my life. You are such a wonderful friend, I can't imagine not having you there when my last day in Vancouver rolls along.. So please be there! It would definitely not be the same without at least getting a farewell from you before I leave. But still, we will keep in touch, right? I hope we will!! It will surely make my last day in Vancouver a memorable one if you could manage to come. Despite what you may think or what you may believe, you are an intelligent person and you always have something interesting to say. Always know that I will be here for you like you have always been there for me. I'll miss you after graduation and my dear pokey, this following poem is for YOU from the Girl Hobbes!! | Always It's so easy to see that I have not always been the greatest friend You have always been there for me and sometimes, I let you down Even though we have shared many moments of smiles and laughter I have often made you sad, or angry, and have definitely made you frown You have always been the first to help me, anytime I needed aid And you have rarely ever refused to help, and you always heard me out If I were to count the best friends that I have ever had in my life I know that you will be one of the first ones I mention; that is without a doubt Soon the time will come and we will both go our own directions in the road When that fork in the road come before the eyes of us two I know that you will let me choose my road, and will not tell me what to pick For you have always supported my decisions, and I have always supported you The future is so far off, and this journey seems as if it will never cease But soon the end will seem like it's coming very near though it is not quite in sight We will stay together, and you will be one of my very few best friends But you and I both know, that eventually, we will go fly our own flight We both know we have our own wings, and you have never held me back Thank you for being one who has never tried to make me stay Thank you for having faith in this friendship that we share; I have that faith, too For we both know nothing can change the future, and nothing can change today. --WeN (June 2003) |
