Wendens Ambo Church Choir

Harper etching

This village choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and sings at all the main church services. We currently have twelve members who are fairly evenly spread between the four voice parts (SATB). This choir has sung in Kings College Chapel, and Ely Cathedral, as well as at several weddings and Christmas carol services.

We currently have a few vacancies for men, ladies, and children, who like to sing and have fun. Being able to read music is not essential. We rehearse every Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm and sing every Sunday at 10am.

Psalm 150

WENDENS AMBO CHURCH ORGAN

The organ is thought to date from around 1840 although the decorative casing is much older (possibly late 18th century). It was originally built for a private house and was moved into the church in 1890. It has had a straight one-and-a-half octave pedal board and a balanced swell box added since it was originally built. To see the specification of Wendens Ambo Church Organ click here.
