This page is for Nancy and I to tell
you what is happening in our lives and to tell you what we mean to each other. This year we are hitting
a milestone birthday(I won't tell how old!) and we want to express ourselves here.
WENDY------Since I am hitting a milestone
birthday this coming year I want to express what the past ____years meant to me . My life has had so many ups
and downs, but I guess that is what life is all about. I loved being a kid. I loved my home and town where I grew up
it made me who I am today. It was a small town and I loved knowing everyone, it was like a great big family. Out of
that town I made a terrific freind who, without her I wouldn't be who I am. We spent so much time together it was inevitable
that we would learn from each other without even knowing it. Its rare that a freindship would last this long and come this far
and I am blessed with that. Nancy is generous, funny,caring and alot of fun! She is always there when you need her.
I remember calling her for the first time when we had been seperated after about ten years and I told her what I had gone
through in those years and I received a card (always a card) that said, she couldn't beleive how strong I was for going
through all that and that she could never do that. Well, I beg to differ, I know she could do anything--its amazing what you can
do if you have to.----One last thing I need to express to her. I remember when I was going through my divorce and thinking about
when Nancys parents got divorced how devistated she was and it helped me deal with my children. I knew what they were going
to be feeling because of Nancy. Thankyou for being my freind and for being there thoughout my life and never giving up on me! You are
truly--------MY BEST FREIND!
NANCY------FORTY YEARS AND COUNTYING----
To sustain a freindship fo forty years, there's a lot of math involved. You will have passed 6,334 notes back in forth in school. You will have
drunk no less than 658 pitchers of Kool Aid. You'll have totaled over a zilliaon hours on the phone and instant messaging. You will have
gone through 27 boxes of Kleenex used for wiping each other's tears...from hearthache and laughing so hard you cry.
And you will have createda history that is rich and wonderful and magical to look back on. A 40 year friendship means you'll have experienced all of these things
and then some!!!!
1) one good fight where someone hangs up the phone
2)making a foool out of yourself in front of each other.. preferably in a bar with an audience
3)one car accident...but not a bad one
4)roller/ice skating with a broom used as a crutch
5)you will know every awful,embarrassing story, have terrible pictures to prove it all and be able to embarrass the heck out of each other in front of potential boyfriends
6)one of your fathers will catch your friend in the back seat of a car
7)knock over one Christmas tree
8)and defend each other no matter what
9)play music, sing and make up cheers for hours
10)play silly phone games like "who's number is........."
11)appreciate classic sit coms like "Laverne and Shirley"(Dead Lazlo's rocks!)
There is nothing quite like having a friend who has known you your whole life!! And being born only nine days apart
with parents who were good friends I literally mean ALL of your life! I can't think of anyone more special to me than Wendy (and I'm not just saying that because she has the stories and pictures on me)
I wasn't blessed with a real sister, but I know all about the feeling of having one thanks to Wen. I love ya Ethel Laverne!!
