While Athena has to work away from home for the serial, she is used to it. The Sunshine Girl gets along well with the Mainland crew members and they take care of her. "The only downside is I miss mom's cooking. Meals outside are no match for home-cooked food."
Would Athena feel lonely all by herself and lose her heart to someone? Apparently Athena knows ways to banish that lonely feeling. Not only that, she has an assistant to keep her company, and work occupies all up her time, so she doesn't have time to think of anything else. "I have been hurt deeply before and it takes time for me to recover. Right now is a pivotal time to develop my career, so I should put my emotional matters on the backburner."

Athena said, "This is my first time playing a princess." The little princess likes her casting. "It is the fashionable low cut long dress. Classy with a dash of sexiness mixed in." The story is a bit like Romeo and Juliet in the sense that Athena's character falls in love with Lee Sik Man, somebody whom she shouldn't have, for Lee happens to be the enemy of her family. The role presents a challenge to Athena, for she gets to push her acting skills in the many scenes accentuating her emotional conflicts.
For example, there is this bathing scene in which the petite beauty gets her delicate facial features all contorted due the the pains her character is suffering through as she is being forced to marry. A bathing scene? Is it hot and steamy? "No," retorted Athena, "it is a serious scene in a serious serial, not a gratuitious one selling smut [You know I will not do these scenes]. Furthermore, I have taken all the safety precautions to make sure nothing was accidently revealed. I can't allow that."
Athena's pale complexion and anguished looks in the scene was actually the result of a flu she had caught during the course of filming for the serial. Due to a lack of rest and the wild temperature fluctuations in Beijing, Athena got sick. While in this case her mild case of sickness actually helped her, we still wish that Athena would take her time to get enough rest, as she has had the flu three times in the last two or three months.

When returning back to Hongkong, the plane unfortunately was hit by Black Alert (Hongkong's thunderstorm warning system) storms. The plane circled for around an hour, before landing safely at Hongkong's airport.
This has been the second scare Athena has had in a few days, the other being the plane narrowly missing being hit by lightning, when she was in Malaysia doing promotional activities. The only worry Athena has if anything were to happen to her is her family, and she has bought insurance in preparation, she also had her will carefully planned out. She said that if anything really were to happen, she could not do anything about it, but she would pray for both her family and dog, and wish them happiness and safety.
However, Athena belives that she is a very lucky person, as twice when she was in Taiwan and Japan, her plane had barely left the ground when an earthquake struck.
Let's just hope that nothing will happen to Athena, and that she will have no more of such scares..

before, but in every case, the reporters were left empty-handed, and this
shows that she does not have any deep, dark secrets.
Athena believes that everyone needs their privacy, and many artistes are reluctant to talk about their love lives, for the fear that a newly started relationship will be crushed under tremendous public pressure.
She said that she would observe would-be suitors in both Taiwan and Hongkong, to make sure that he is sincere. She will take two years before she is ready again for love, and when the time comes, she will let the world know.
Her first toy when she was young as a puppet monkey, unlike the normal dolls that girls play with. Perhaps it is from here that she started her love for animals. Her first pet was a little tortoise, and she had it for a total of eleven years. Because she had been taking care of it too well, the tortoise grew too fat, and she had to release the tortoise. Athena cried for a long time, and dreamed about it for three times, in which the tortoise brought many small tortoises to see her. "Even if I see it now, I can still recognize it".
Her experiences with her pet chick and bird where not so fortunate. The bird was bitten by mosquitoes, and the chick fell off the table. Athena's two dogs are called Jiajia (¹Å ¹Å ), and Didi (§Ì §Ì ), a Yorkshire Terrier and a Pomerarian.
She said that her two dogs think of themselves as humans, they like to watch her wearing dresses, and will voice their opinion of her lipstick colours. When she is not at home, she would record messages in a tape for the dogs, and they would listen intently whenever the cassettes are played. She said that she used to think of joining the SPCA, or going to the zoo to work. Laughingly, she said, "If I were to work in the zoo, many animals would be brought home by me!"
When asked about her rumoured boyfriends, Wong Ching (¤ý ´¹ ), Stephen Chow (©P ¬P ¹£ ), Aaron Kwok (³¢ ´I «° ), and Guan Dehui (Ãö ¼w ½÷ ), Athena avoided it by critisizing director Wong Ching. She said that his shows where filmed very slowly, without a proper script, and everybody had a lot to say about that. About her onscreen kisses with Aaron Kwok and Stephen Chow, she said that only the kiss with Stephen Chow was real, and she only gave Aaron Kwok mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If asked who she would chose out of the four, she said that she would chose Guan Dehui, because they were both Christians, and their age was the nearest.
However, the person she liked best was Japanese actor (¤ì §ø ©Ý «v ), and she admires him a lot, and if she had the chance to act with him, she would gladly accept.
During the gathering, Athena
played a game with her fans. She asked which image of hers her fans liked
best, if it was her image in "Washing Machine", "Titita", or "Heaven May
Cry". The reply was that her fans liked Athena in a variety show in which
she played a game in which she used her hips to play a ball game. Her performance
was memorable.
Athena has just come back to Hongkong from Taiwan, and has filmed an advertisement for the Epson. Due to filimng in the rain, Athena has caught a cold and her fever has reached 1020F. Fortunately, she has had enough rest, and she is better now. However, her original plans for the dubbign of her movie and promotional activies had to be cancelled because of this. Now resting in Hongkong, Athena will go back to Taiwan next week and start her promotional activities for her new album, Titita.
About the rumours of Malaysian singer Guan Dehui having dinner with her at the racecourse, Athena's manager, Helen, said that Athena was a friend of Guan Dehui, and he had contacted her in Taiwan as a friend. As for the dinner, Athena was not there on the day because she was sick, and only she and Ada Choi were at the racecourse.
Athena said that she has cooperated well with Epson for the past two years, and the past two advertisements shown in Hongkong has shown satisfactory results, increasing her pay for the advertisement from a 6 figure digit to a 7 figure one. As for the rumours about Kelly Chen taking over her, she has this to say, "Everyone has a different image. I don't mind what other people say, as long as I know what I'm doing, because everything will be revealed in time."
She said that when Kelly Chen was going to film the new advertisement, she did not clear her name openly as the time was not right, and she believes that everything will be known soon enough. Also, both she and Kelly Chen were doing this because it was their job, and it is just that the public likes to compare the both of them. "I will not get angry reading the reports, because I have already learnt how to keep a calm mind." Athena only hopes that the company she is advertising for will make money, and prove her value.
