Weniki's Competitions

Just this year, I started to participate in competitions and conventions. I've gone to LA Dance Force, Encore! Performing Arts Showcase, Co. Dance, and 5*6*7*8 Showtime!. The groups that I have competed with have done very well, and we are very proud of ourselves and the studio as a whole! Below is a list of conventions I have been to, competitions I have watched, as well as competitions I have competed in.   • "We Will Rock You" - 3rd place
  • "If My Friends Could See Me Now" - 3rd place
  • "Hard Knock Life" - 1st place
  • "Show Me" - 1st place

    At this competition, there were only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards given out in each category and age division. The Senior Company at my dance studio (which I am in) took 5 numbers to this competition and only 4 of them placed. We are off the nationals with this one in Vancouver, BC in July!!

  • Judges' Award "You Rocked Us!" - "We Will Rock You"

    This competition isn't considered a competition but an adjudication. They are very friendly at this one. Everyone who participated received commemorative medals, and everyone in your group receives a ribbon for each dance. On the ribbon it says what you got (platinum, gold, silver, or bronze). Platinum is a perfect score, and we were shocked that we won one! WAY TO GO DANCERS!!!!!!




    *I just wanna give a quick shout-out to all the girls in Senior Company: Starla, Stacy, Erica, Courtney, Megan A., Megan M., Chelsea, Loni, Alynne, you all rock! I love you all so much and we are gonna kick butt in Whistler on May 11th and 12th!
    *For all my chicas in Junior Company: Beth, Kayleigh, Erica, Alyse, Nicole, Christina, Ally, Karissa, Kristi, Elysha, Jaylene, Caitlyn, Kallie, and my man Justin! We could not do "Hard Knock Life" without you! You are all like sisters to me and I love ya! Keep on dancing hard!
    *Also, my babes in Petite Company: Dakota, Janie, Quinn, Arika, Alexa, Brittany, Britt, Madison, Avery, Angelina, and my other lil' man Austin, you are all doing so awesome and I can't believe how grown up you guys are! Keep on working hard with Chrystal and I know you dancers will end up at the top!
    *And how could I forget Michelle, the best studio owner, dance teacher, and friend all in one! Thank you so much for all that you have done for us. Chel too! Thanks for bringing your talents to our studio and teaching us all how to clog! Chrystal, you are doing an awesome job with the Petites! They will surely remember you for the rest of their lives!
