Why I think I deserve a cell phone
Dad, I think I deserve a cell phone because I think I need one and am responsible enough to own one. For example, I have proven that I can be involved in many school activities (Colorguard, Winterguard, Theatre Club, and SADD [students against drunk driving]), while maintaining an A average (report cards upon request), while working for Maryann (who owns a reputable school merchandise company), and having time left over to spend with family and friends. I have given you reasons why I think I am responsible enough to have one, now I will tell you why I need one. Because over the past few months, being involved in school activities, I've learned that plans OFTEN change last minute and I do not always have access to a pay phone, when I really need to reach Lisa, Mom, Maryann, etc. Sometimes Lisa is unable to pick me up at school so I would need a phone to call mom. I am often hanging out with friends on the weekends at the mall or movies and I really need a phone. I plan on taking Driver's ED in January, and I would like to have the comfort of knowing that I could reach someone in case of an emergency. Mom will not pay for my cell phone because she already pays for Lisa's plan and she thinks that 3 people would be too many sharing minutes. So, for these reasons stated above, I am in dire need of a cell phone and I know you already have a plan but if you can't add me onto your service plan (the shared plan) then there are 1 yr plans and prices are stated above and I know that paying fees monthly can get pricy, this will count for my Birthday present as well. If you want to wait until I'm there to buy it that way I can make sure it's the right phone and that they add the service plan to your service plan and stuff.
(Once the initial 1 yr contract is up i will be more than willing to start making the payments) |
