Welcome to Bytes and Bits #9/97 with Wenlock Burton.

Our WWW Page: This time for sure I'm thinking. Reformatting of the ICDX page is now complete, all areas should display ok on Microsoft (tm) Internet Explorer (MSIE) and Netscape. The main trap I fell into is that it's possible to format nicely in Netscape without using "break" and "paragraph" codes. Not so in MSIE sadly. Also the fonts tend to be different sizes in MSIE to Netscape.. Plus MSIE changes the font size when you use the "preformat" code.

On the Web: During the reformatting work I had time to add a few more sites to the growing lists of broadcasters with web sites.. Three countries in the SW lists and one in the FM list. Wonder if many DON'T have a web site these days.. Robert pointed out a common problem when searching on the various "Search engines", a search engine, like www.altavista.com or www.yahoo.com, is a good way of finding anything on the Internet. Big problem, they only catalog at intervals, so if a site has closed it's listing remains on the engine for some time. Robert found quite a few "dead links" in his first few hours of surfing..
