HANGING SNOWMAN
Here's a cute little addition to any door knob or christmas tree.
Materials:
White Felt (amount will depend on size of snowman) 1 9x12 sheet will make a small one
Green Felt Scrap
Black Felt
Floral Wire
Black Paint
Red Paint
Small Twigs for arms
Deckle Scissors (regular scissors can be used)
Tacky glue
Instructions:
Begin by cutting out 3 circles of white felt with deckle scissors or any other scissors of choice. Cut a circle for the face first and use this piece as a template to cut out the other 2 circles. Once you have cut 1 circle, place it on top of a piece of white felt and cut another circle just slightly larger. Then take the second circle you cut and place it on top of white felt and cut another piece, just slightly larger.
To cut a hat, you can cut one piece in the shape of a hat or you can cut one rectangle piece for the rim and one square for the top. Glue the 2 pieces together to form a hat.
Cut a rectangle strip of green felt (long enough to wrap around the neck of your snowman) and paint red dots on the green felt (refer to photo). Allow the paint to dry.
Referring to the photo glue your three circles at the top of the bottom circle and the top of the middle circle and glue your hat to the top of the top circle. With black paint, paint dots for the eyes and nose. Paint a wiggley line for the mouth.
Wrap a piece of floral wire around a pencil to create your hanger. Make this piece as long as required to hang on door knob. Glue the wire to the back of the snowman's face at the point where your wrapped scarf will cover the wire at the back. At least 1 inch of wire should be glued to the felt in order for the hanger to support your snowman. Another alternative to glue is to sew the wire in place on the back of the face (sewing gives more strength to the holder)

Trim your branch pieces to the desired length and glue to the front of your snowman.
