With the success of the DC Panther, USSR built the Siberian Tiger as mech just like the Panther. USSR decided not to put the PPC in the mech just like the Panther but decided to put a Large Laser with a MRM 10 with speed to keep up with the meduim mechs.
As a test run they had a lance of Panthers go against a lance of Siberian Tigers. Knowing that the PPC was the only longe range weapon that they had they stayed out of range of the Panthers SRM 4. One of the Siberian Tigers was shredded as the Panthers used a tatic of taking one out at a time by all of them firing at it. But soon the Siberians came in range of their Large Lasers and MRM and destroyed the rest of the Panthers.
