Time alone. What Swar wouldn’t do for time alone in the wilderness. Living in a locked up Kaer – even while it is safe from the horrors, it is not safe from debates at the dinner table at home. With a father being one of the better artists in the kaer, be it painting, setting up plays, you name it, and a mother who runs a pottery shop, it is somewhat strange how he could even be their son… It doesn’t help that his older sister seems to have inherited all the creative sides of his parents either, having outdone him in all of life’s paths except brute force. He has never even been able to open his mouth at home without a jest, sarcastic comment or similar being said right after. Even his younger siblings think of him as the family clown, even though they are way younger than him, and he barely even knows them.
All this considered, he has learned being tight lipped to avoid ridicule, and tends to just go with whatever someone that seems like a leader decides, unless he has no choice than to lead, or seeing flaws in something he just can’t help but point out. And even though he isn’t very fond of being the family clown, he knows they are the most important people in his life, so since his abilities seemed to lie in a more direct fashion than his kin, when he managed to get training as an adept of the Warrior’s path after just a short time during the drillings he showed up for, he finally managed to get some pride. Obviously he was hailed as the family ork when he came home that night, but at least that’s something he can stomach. And at least it gives him an excuse for not helping around in the shop too much, or carry things for his sister and father while being taunted in public.
Swar’s family has tried to teach him all manner of useful skills, finding out fast that even carving runes was ill suited for him, they tried teaching him languages, and when he could passably speak Throalic they thought a job well done and had him carry things again. His older sister, Nazkah, however wanted her brother to be a cut above all the useless boys in the kaer that she was far too good for, so tried to teach him to recite poems in Sperethiel, learning names of various court dances (though giving up on teaching him after 5 minutes) and it’s general principles and even to flirt properly without having to resolve to pickup lines better suited for cattle. In the end, it seemed she only tried it to teach him to get more time mocking him for all the things she was good at that he was not. After he didn’t seem to learn well, and having an argument with her parents about the family not being good enough for her, she has kept well away from the family home and not been seen since. Although he is happy for a break in the battering of his ego, he is getting worried about what will happen to her.
When it comes to violence Swar is somewhat reluctant; being somewhat unsure about his judgement at least he doesn’t want to start fights. His notion of personal honor isn’t present either, but the moment someone starts being a bully, itching for a confrontation, or worst of all insults his family, there is little hesitation. In general he sees himself more a defender than more than anything else, though he supposes an attack is the best defence at times so he should strike a balance. He is also very fond of swords, but according to legends Warriors should not get too attached to specific weapons, so he is currently contemplating what is worse to control, his flail or his family life.
Outside the family life, Swar has few friends and associates. He tends to try to get the pack mule and tasks that doesn’t require much social interaction when it comes to what needs to be done in the kaer; and he hopes most people just remember him as that “helpful anonymous fellow”. The only person he considers somewhat of a kindred spirit is Kia’g, the ork training as a warrior adept alongside him, being somewhat of similar age and stage of life. Swar would like somewhat to team up with Kia’g to get back at Emmit, however has not approached him about it. Emmit tends to do pranks and batter Swar with words, which he finds annoying, but since it lacks the emotional impact from the family conversations it’s more of a challenge than anything. Sadly Swar tends to come up with good responses hours or days after the actual encounters, but he hopes that he some day will be able to get revenge either on verbal counter strikes or pranks.

One of the perks about being a warrior is being able to hide in armor and Swar can’t wait to be able hide in full plate and a uniform or tabard. Being somewhat tall at 187 cm, and his weight of 89 kg not really making it clear if he is fat or muscled, combined with looking more like being 15 than 22, doesn’t really help as a defense against ridicule. Swar doesn’t care much for fancy clothing either, he is happy if he can get a uniform, or follow some kind of dress code. He tries to keep his hair as short as possible to not have to fuss over it, though it sometimes grow enough for him to be considered fair haired. And in a strange act of defiance, or maybe stupidity, he recently approached Emmit about getting a tattoo. All the other members of the kaer with tattooing knowledge refused without discussing the issue with his father. Emmit agreed readily and tattooed a thick black vine with many jagged thorns along it, that started on his right side just below the ribs, going up and over his shoulder then down around his right arm. The vine itself has a dark red runic verse, that is barely noticeable unless one gets close enough to examine it. The verse starts on the arm just below where the vine leaves the shoulder and says: Bone Breaker Wrath of Iron Club of Flesh. After giving Swar the tattoo, Emmit hasn't been as frequent at his pranks or verbal assaults on Swar, though he hasn't stopped altogether. At some point during his youth he fell down from a high ledge and broke that arm. Later on, when bullied by some other kids he lost his temper and broke the same arm on one of them. Swar earned the nickname Bone Breaker as spite by various people in the kaer. And for some reason he thought people would give him more respect if he got that tattoo. He is somewhat embarrassed of this presently, so he is constantly attempting to cover it.
