Tornado-Air Management System

$Dollar:Horsepower rating

$15:1 hp

Just stick the Tornado-Air in your intake tube right after your filter and congratulate yourself for adding 5hp!

I ordered the Tornado Air Management System. I bought it through JC Whitney.

For more information on the system and to place an order if you like go to the Tornado homepage

Basically, the Tornado is a turbine like product that straightens air and creates a swirling effect just after the air is filtered and ready to enter the engine. The dyno results saw increases of 4-13 horespower over stock. And they weren't just testing Corvettes. The 4 horespower gain was for a 100 horsepower Ford engine.

I would suspect with a K&N filter and Ram Air the effects would be even greater, due to higher volumes of cool air flowing in. Even if you only gain about 5 horsepower at a cost of $15 per horse it is one of the cheapest upgrades you can get. Also, it claims to increase fuel economy from 7-24%.

I installed the Tornado on my car and noticed a real difference in pulling power for the hills, especially on the highway. I think I gained at least 5 hp.The claims about improved fuel economy, at least on the 2.0L engine, are probably a little overblown.
