Funeral Services were held Monday for Joe Morris retired local Real Estate Broker, in the Moreland Funeral Home. Mr. Morris died Friday afternoon in Doctors Hospital following a heart attack ten days prior. He was 71 years old. He resided with his wife at 53 W. Broadway.
Mr. Morris retired January first of this year from active Real Estate work which he had been in for the past 25 years in Westerville.
He was a member of the Westerville Methodist Church, local chapter of the Lions Club, Westerville Masonic Bodies, Knights Templer of Columbus, Order of The Eastern Star, and was past master of Blendon Lodge F & AM.
Survivors include his wife Eva, three sons, Phillip G. of Columbus, Joseph, Jr. of Akron, and Steve E. of Ft. Bragg, N. C., two daughters, Mrs. John Barnes of Mt. Sterling, and Mrs. R. W. Gifford of Silver Spring, Md.; eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Sam Barker of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Mrs. Gilbert Lucas of Cuyahoga Falls.
Rev. Thomas Adshead conducted funeral services. Entombment was in the Otterbein Mausoleum.
