George Patterson Dies
After Long Illness
Following a lingering illness, George N. Patterson, age 85, died Wednesday evening at his home, 34 West Main St. A retired blacksmith, Mr. Patterson had made his home here for the past 55 years. He was a native of Canada.
Rev. D. W. Cryer will be in charge of the funeral services, which will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, at the residence. Mr. Patterson was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Patterson; one daughter, Mrs. R. J. White of Sidney; two grandchildren, Mrs. Norma Carter of Westerville and Richard White of Sidney; one great-grandson, Stephen Carter; and one brother Robert Patterson of Acton, Ontario, Canada.
Jerry Spears of Columbus will be in charge of entombment in the Mausoleum of Otterbein Cemetery.
