Evelyn Koons
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 11, at the First EUB Church for Mrs. Evelyn Koons, 57 Wellborn, Fla., formerly of Westerville.
Mrs. Koons died April 7 in Grant Hospital, Columbus. For 10 ½ years from 1950-60 Mrs. Koons and her husband, the Rev. Arthur Koons operated the Ska-Teen roller rink on East Home Street in Westerville.
IN 1961 THE COUPLE sold the rink to McVey Furniture Co. who uses the building now for a warehouse. The following year they moved to Wellborn, Fla., where the Rev. Mr. Koons is pasturing a Methodist church. Wellborn is located near Lake City.
Besides her husband Mrs. Koons is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lois Scott, Piqua; and Mrs. Dolores Fowler, 39 Glenwood Dr.; and a son, Edmund P. Koons, Sacramento, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Elbert McDonald, Clarksville, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Hill funeral home with entombment in Otterbein Mausoleum.
