OBITUARY
Letta Jane Shaw was born in Delaware county, Ohio, January 19, 1858, and died September 4, 1942, age 84 years, 7 months, and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Garry W. Meeker October 2, 1880. To this union were born six sons and two daughters.
Victor H. Meeker, Westerville; Joshua V. Meeker, San Diego, Calif., U.S. Navy; George W. Meeker, Corpus Christi, Texas; Garry Raymond, deceased; John J., deceased; Albert P. Meeker, Galena, O.; two daughters, Harriet B. Meeker and Mrs. Alice Schick both of Columbus, also one brother, L. A. Shaw of Galena; fourteen living grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In the service are a son, Joshua V. Meeker, Warrant Officer U. S. Navy; grandson, Robert Meeker, in the flying service and grandson, Lieutenant George Schick at Camp Meade, Md.
She was a life time member of the Methodist church. A loyal and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. All came under her motherly wing. Through several years of sickness she was very patient, uncomplaining and cheerful to the end. She was always glad to meet friends and to have a good word for each and every one.
