Business Man Dies
After Long Illness

Robert H. McElwee, aged 69, died Monday afternoon at his home on North State street after an illness of months that caused him much suffering. Until a few months ago he was actively engaged in the grocery business with Mr. Kinsell but his health became so impaired that he was forced to retire. Since that time he as been in an almost helpless condition. Mr. McElwee formerly conducted a grocery at Center Village. He was also a prominent farmer in that community. He was a member of the Wagoner Memorial Bible Class.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma E. McElwee, two daughters, Mrs. Albert Sanders and Mrs. Walter Phalor, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the First United Brethren church. The body will be placed in the Memorial Mausoleum by A. D. Strosnider.
