Funeral Services
For J. A. Penrose
Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon for John Addison Penrose, 92, son of Joseph and Mildred Worthington Penrose, born Sept. 30, 1857 in Washington County, Ohio and died March 17, 1949 at his home on North State Road after a long illness.
His wife, Mrs. Della Smith Penrose also of Washington Co., to whom he was married Dec. 22, 1886 died April 10, 1942
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. in the Stockdale Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Millard J. Miller officiated. Burial was made in Otterbein Mausoleum.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews including his niece Miss Irma Burgess, who has been his home maker and care taker since 1942 and Mrs. Howard W. (Mildred) Elliott.
