DIES AFTER
LONG ILLNESS

Funeral Services
Held Sunday In
Methodist Church

Jane Josephine Bennett, 15, died Friday morning in University Hospital, Columbus, following several months illness. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Methodist church. Miss Bennett was the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Bennett, Twin Elms, Westerville. Mr. Bennett is the owner of the Bennett Manufacturing company.
Miss Bennett was a sophomore at the Columbus School for Girls, and had attended the Westerville High school. She was active in the church school and Youth Fellowship of the Methodist church and was a member of the Senior Scout Troop. In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister, Miss Elizabeth Ann Bennett, a freshman at De Pauw University, Greencastle, Ind. and her maternal grandfather, the Rev. John W. Harsha D. D., Washington, Pa.
The body lay in the Methodsit church from 1 o'clock until 3 Sunday. Following the funeral services, the body was entombed in the Otterbein Mausoleum.
He pastor, the Rev. Donald W. Cryer, said in part, in his eulogy Sunday, these words about Miss Bennett. "Jane was a girl of quality. I have never known a finer one. She was sincere and always striving for perfection. She was most cooperative, loyal, generous, sympathetic, very kind. In all her recent suffering she was unbelievably patient. So we come to know what Emerson meant when he wrote, 'As God lives, what is excellent is permanent.' So many of us, and our town shall forever be richer since she has been here."
