G. A. R. Member Succumbs Suddenly
to Heart Failure Monday

In the death of P. P. Ingalls which occurred Monday morning due to heart failure, Westerville suffered the loss of a second well known farmer, both due to heart trouble. The first death was that of Thomas Holmes who died last Wednesday. Mr. Ingalls was 71 years old.
Mr. Ingalls had served as past chancellor of the Knights of Pythias; past master of Blendon lodge, E. & A. M. _______ grand of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and past commander of the Grand Army of the Republic. He was also a member of the Grange. At one time he was a candidate for sheriff of Delaware County and was represented in Republican circles. He held the office of Justice of the Peace in Westerville several years ago. He was a charter member of Westerville Lodge, K. of P.
Mr. Ingalls had looked forward with much enjoyment to the national G. A. R. encampment and the reunion of his regiment at Columbus this week.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Ingalls, and one daughter, Mrs. Laura Bowers, of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church. The Scottish ring ceremony will be a part of the services. Burial will be made in Otterbein Mausoleum.
