Registration & Withdrawl

Getting enrolled at WCMS is very easy. Listed on this page is information that will help you get enrolled quickly and easily. Any comments and/or questions are always welcome.

In order to enroll at WCMS you will need the following:

Proof of residence - West Coffee Middle School requires a copy of your apartment lease or contract on a home (copies of bills, driver's license, etc. cannot be accepted as proof of residency).

Academic and discipline records from your previous school. As of July 1, 1997, Georgia law requires these records be brought to the school before enrolling any student in classes.

Withdrawal papers from your previous school.

Immunization records should be included with your academic records. However, Georgia law requires students to have a second MMR immunization in order to be enrolled. This can be obtained from your personal physician or from the:

The following information is to help keep you up-dated on the procedures of our school. It is very important that a student be officially withdrawn from school. With the new Georgia law, a student cannot be placed in another Georgia school without withdrawal papers (and most other states have the same requirement).

In order to withdraw from WCMS you will need the following:

On the last day the student will attend, they must go to the Guidance Center for their withdrawal papers. The student must see each teacher and have them complete the form.

The new Georgia law requires that we give the withdrawing student a copy of their academic and discipline records to take with them. However, we do require the parents request the records.

Please contact the school as soon as you know the student will be withdrawing. Copies of the records will be given to the student on their last day of school in a sealed, stamped envelope. If the seal is broken, the records will then become invalid.

If you need a copy of your student's records, please come to the Guidance Center and sign a records release form.

If you move, please notify the school as soon as possible with your new address and phone number. You will also be required to furnish us with a new proof of residency (copy of lease or contract). We do not want you to miss important information being mailed to you from the school.
