Dear Editor, On July 10, 1999, my son Stephen celebrated his 40th birthday at The Royal George in the village. I would like to say to all at The Royal George a big thank you for a lovely evening and a wonderful buffet enjoyed by everyone. I was married in West Coker in 1955 and my three sons were christened in the Church. My parents were Rosilea and Albert Blackmore and I was born in Manor Street in 1933. I was Carnival Queen in about 1948 and have very fond memories of West Coker. If anyone would like to yarn about old times please contact me on 01935 471040. Sheila Fowler
THANK YOU Dear Editor, Here I am again, like a bad penny turning up in your Ropewalker!! I just want to convey my sincere thanks to all of you, to Val and Anita at the Post Office, to Dr. and Mrs. Oberthur for kindly hosting a farewell
