It will be held on a Saturday in June, 2000, hosted by the Parish Council and facilitated by the Planning Department of South Somerset District Council. Tintinhull, Norton-sub-Hamden, Montacute and Hardington Mandeville have already held Design Days and produced design statements. East Coker is expected to hold a Design Day after us. graphs taken will be developed during the lunch break and then everyone's ideas and photographs will be discussed in the afternoon. The day will be planned by a steering group of six to twelve residents who will use inputs from all participants to write the final design statement. South Somerset District Council will endorse this design statement, which will become a very important document influencing all subsequent planning decisions. The Parish Council is looking for volunteers for the steering group, especially young people. Please let David Neal (Tel: 862402) know if you would like to be part of this exciting project.
