Westcombe Field Archers
The club was formed towards the end of 1999 and started with just a handful of members. Since then our membership has been growing steadily. We recruited several new members at field shoots at the end of 2000. Like most other clubs, our activities were dealt a severe blow by the foot and mouth outbreak. We have recently purchased club equipment and expect to be running courses for beginners soon.
Most club members enjoy taking part in NFAS competitions and we had some good results at local shoots during the Autumn and Winter. We would hope to be able to put on our own shoot in the not too distant future.
Our shooting ground is located a few miles from Taunton on the Blackdown Hills. We shoot every Sunday and during the Summer months on Thursdays also. We regard ourselves as a friendly club and we would always welcome new members. Our annual membership fee is a very reasonable £10.
