Dollyman at Ricks Cafe
Dollyman AKA Lloyd Hudson was born in Mahogany Hall, Trelawny, Jamaica on August 31, 1961.
He recieved a schlarship at the age of of 11 for soccer, which brought him to live in May Pen where he continued his schooling until graduation.
At the age of 12 Dollyman started to sing with the church choir & discovered that music was what he enjoyed the most.
In the meantime Dollyman took a practical nursing course where he then worked as a practical nurse at the Bellview Psychiatric Hospitol in Kingston, Jamaica.
After working for 3 1/2 years at the hospital, he realized that he preferred music to being a nurse & decided to leave the nursing profession.

Dollyman was involved with many different bands such as Smokey & the MG's, Explosive Stars, Mege Force, Seven Vibrations and Stars etc.
Dollyman is multi talented, he learned to play the drums within 3 months, the bass guitar in 3 weeks & the keyboard in 9 months of which he puts in practice on a regular basis, but mostly does singing.

At the age of 29 he wes asked to perform at a special event with artist such as: Coco Tea, Robert French, Michael Palmer, Bongo and others. He then masterminded a little skit for his part of the show. He proceeded to make a doll out of cloth which he named "Audrea" & entertained the audience by singing and dancing with the doll. Everyone cheered & applauded his performance & that's how the name "Dollyman" came to him.
Dollyman currently sings with the concrete band at Ricks Cafe on the Westend Road in Negril Jamaica 5 nights a week, has his own band called "The Blessed Band" and plays the drums with the Positive Vibes Band which can be viewed at: http://www.rastajohn.com

Dollyman is now inthe mist of making an original CD with "Lyrics"written by himself.
