The Olympic Torch arrives in Sydney
There was much anticipation as the crowds gathered waiting for the torch. The streets were packed, most of the length of Oxford Street...
... all the way down to Hyde Park and beyond.
People were even crowding the balcony of the Exchange Hotel.
Then, the big moment arrived. I didn't get a clear photo of it, because I took a video of it being run past (click here to download it - 1MB).
Here's another shot of the exciting moment! Everyone was clapping or standing in awe.
When we thought everything was over, a group of drag queens (a gaggle?) appeared with their torches. The crowd went wild. They actually got a better response than the actual torch. How funny is that!?
