1998 was not a really good year for Brady, he suffered numerous injuries, but kept on playing, that's the kind of guy he is. Hopefully, after a winter of rest and training, Brady will be able to "jack his stat's" and have the kind of year we all know he's capable of, as well as the new chemistry for the "O's" in 99. The addition of Albert Belle, Will Clark, etc., should help the "O's".
1997 Stat's: Ave. .288, led the O's in On base Percentage .393; Runs scored - 97; hits w/ 170; doubles 39; triples 7; Base on balls 84 and stolen bases w/ 18. Also had 18 HR down from last year's career year, all while battling a number of injuries. Led the "O's" in the ALCS w/ 25 at bat; Ave. .360. 5 Runs; 9 hits;2 doubles; 2 HR's this season, he leds the American League in on base percentage, as well as leading the "O"s. Although not having the career year he had last year, Brady is still the all around best center fielder in Baseball. Whether hitting game winning home runs, or getting on base through base on balls, Brady knows how to get the "O's" going.
