First Gay & Lesbian Pride in Cyberspace

Forget about your luggage, time consuming travels and hotel reservations - On October 17th & 18th you can join an international G/L/B/T Pride Festival directly from your private home. No charges are involved, except what you pay for your Internet connection.

Pink Village Pride Festival 98 is dedicated to the celebration of human diversity, and has been initiated and planned out by citizens of Pink Village, a popular G/L/B/T community in AlphaWorld since January 97.

AlphaWorld is one of hundreds of VR worlds within the Active Worlds universe, a VRML system with 300.000 users. In this 3D environment you can build, chat and interact with others. To access the Pride events, you need to have downloaded and installed the free Active Worlds browser.

Because of the VR features, PV Pride Festival 98 will be totally different from any Real World pride. You are invited to order your personal piece of the Interactive Pride Quilt, and to submit your recorded voice for the Jam Session. How about cross dressing in no time, or flying above the Pride
Park area? And you will of course make new friends from all over the world!

Both days will be packed with events for a total of 20 hours, including parties, exhibitions, discussion groups, games and, of course, the Parade.

G/L/B/T communities/web sources are invited to have their booths in the Pride Park area, served by their online representatives, or by images/text with links to their information on the Web.
